V.O.I.C.E.S. SUPPORT
Breaking Barriers Through Lived Experience
A safe space for people with lived and living experience of multiple disadvantage to shape services and systems, influence decisions and lead recovery-focused change in Surrey.

What is Multiple Disadvantage?
Multiple disadvantage describes the overlapping challenges a person faces at the same time making it harder to access support, find stability and move forward in life.
These can include:
Trauma
Homelessness or risk of becoming homeless
Mental Health Conditions
Neuro-Diversity
Drug and Alcohol Use
Domestic Abuse
Physical Health Disabilities
Chronic Health Disadvantages
Financial Problems
Social exclusion
Experiencing Stigma, Prejudice or Discrimination
Bereavement
Contact with the Criminal Justice System
When these challenges are combined, traditional services often struggle to provide the right support.
That’s where we come in
At Recovery Action Group Surrey, we believe that the people with lived and living experience should have a say in the services that affect them.
Together, we work to break down barriers, improve support systems, and create meaningful change.
We’re on a mission to create a future where everyone—no matter their challenges—gets the support they deserve. The road isn’t easy, but we’re building strength, gaining momentum, and staying laser-focused on the goal: a future where no one is left behind. Obstacles? We’re turning them into stepping stones!
Mission
We've set the stage for a brighter future - a future that ensures everyone has access to the best support and services, no matter what their circumstances are. While obstacles remain, we’re gaining strength and momentum.
The road may be challenging, but our vision remains clear and hopeful.
